   Wayne McKinney and his wife Peg owned Canterbury Park in the forties and fifties



 


Wally Pipp Jr., pictured here at CANTERBURY PARK  dated 1948, is the son of Wally Pipp Sr. who was a first baseman Baseball Player for the Detroit Tigers until he was sent to the New York Yankees in 1915.  See more about Wally Pipp Sr. and his Baseball Career.

 number 7, in the 60's it  
 was number 15.

   Wayne McKinney and his wife Peg owned Canterbury Park in the forties and
fifties,  they also owned Big Star Hotel and Oak Grove cottages.
  Charles Stewart managed the Oak Lodge for Wayne, before that
   Charley managed Pine Grove, Charley was a teacher and basketball coach in
   South Bend, he was a player for Purdue , Charley was assistant coach for
